Special Olympics: BBAASO BEARS

The BBAASO (Bath-Brunswick Area Adult Special Olympics) Bears is a team for adults with intellectual disabilities in the Midcoast area, supported by staff from Independence Association, family members and volunteers. Athletes, coaches and volunteers focus on having fun, doing their personal best, and embracing the true spirit of competition and sportsmanship.Practice, fundraising, community partnerships and other team building activities engage the entire group. Coaching staff are certified to support each athlete through their training regardless of initial ability. The BBAASO BEARS routinely travel to competitions throughout the state where they demonstrate the results of their hard work and dedication.

BBAASO Bears Track & Field Practices

Join us for practice on Saturdays in April and May.
When: 9 am-11 am
Where: Mt. Ararat High School Track, 73 Eagles Way, Topsham Maine 04086

All athletes please bring ALL of the following:
  • Athletic Shoes
  • Clothing appropriate to weather and activity
  • Water/Drink
  • Good sportsmanship
  • A positive attitude
