Community Works

Community Works is a community based, habilitative and therapeutically driven program that supports adults in inclusive settings to learn new skills and / or further develop current skills to facilitate active membership in their chosen community. This dynamic program provides medically necessary supports tailored to meet individual needs that encourage self direction, while promoting increased independence with daily living skills, self management, personal and community safety, healthy living and fitness.    Participants are encouraged to explore volunteer positions and maximize their involvement with a variety of public resources in an effort to meet new people, make friends and explore opportunities for increased natural supports.

Connections

Participants have access to a variety of local resources, and a safe venue to learn and grow. Through activities and outings within Brunswick, Topsham, Freeport, and Bath, they connect with their community and build foundations for today and the future.

Volunteerism

Community service is at the heart of the Community Works program. Through placements throughout the downtown area, participants engage in meaningful service, create connections and develop skills that best support an inclusive lifestyle. volunteer CW
